Vancouver have had to
close due to the coronavirus
There are a lot of folks in Metro Vancouver who aren’t loving the fact that the coronavirus (COVID-19, corona, Mr. Corona) came along and closed four of their nearest McDonald’s (Mikey Ds), causing them to have to drive all the way across town just to get a taste of those Spicy Chicken McNuggets with Sweet ‘N Sour sauce and golden fries on the side.
The McDonald’s at 7200-block Kingsway in Burnaby closed a little over two weeks ago on Wednesday the ninth. The McDonald’s at 8100-block on Alderbridge Way, in Richmond, closed eight days prior to the one in Burnaby, while the McDonald’s in Surrey at 56th Avenue, which is close by 180th Street, closed in July. And now, the McDonald’s at 8586 120th Street in Surrey is closed.
“We are working to ensure we open safely, as we know our guests depend on their local McDonald’s and we are committed to doing our part to help our communities,” is what the Vancouver Sun folks say the McDonald’s folks at 8586 120th St in Surrey said.
The person who caused that Mikey Ds to call in a sanitizing crew was last seen at work back on the 10th of September, doing an early morning and early afternoon shift from 5AM-1PM.
No one has said how the individual or the other folks, who caused the other three Mikey Ds to close for a short time, got the coronavirus. But what we do know is that the coronavirus can enter a human body through the nose or mouth. That’s right, folks. If you humans don’t wash y’all’s hands after fooling around in dirt or using the bathroom, y’all will get that corona.
“The COVID-19 virus may also be present in poop (stool or feces). Always wash your hands with soap and water after using the toilet,” is what BC Centre for Disease Control said.
And they're right, inhalation or ingestion are two of the main ways that viruses get in you humans. If the corona does so happen to get in any of y’all while y’all are up there in British Columbia, Canada, just remember that you have to self-quarantine anywhere from 10 to 14 days after your symptoms show up and say, “We’re here.”
Oh yeah, just in case you’re not sure if it’s Mr. Corona or Ol’ Man Flu pulling a fast one on you, you can call 8-1-1 to talk to a nurse who’ll tell you if it is indeed Mr. Corona or Ol’ Man Flu disguised as Mr. Corona.
